Let me run something by you that is so simple, most of us miss it.

We all want our partners to be there for us, to love us, and to support us in life. BUT, before your partner can treat you the way that you want to be treated, you are going to have to tell them how to do it!

It sounds really simple doesn’t it? The sad truth is however, that most people don’t tell their partners how. Even after being married for over 25 years, there are still things that surprise me about my wife, and I’m sure she finds the same about me.

Make a commitment this week to sit down with your partner and tell them how you like to be treated, and then let them tell you about themselves. Discuss such things as:

What you like them to say to you when you arrive home from work

What to say to you when you are feeling down

What not to say when you are feeling down

What they can do to make you feel really special.

Let’s face it. We all want that special person in our life to make us feel like we are someone special. Help them to do that even better, by telling them how.
